Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) for the role of client manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, providing expert accounting and financial advice, and ensuring exceptional service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee a portfolio of clients, ensuring their accounting and business needs are met with the highest standards of service.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns, and management accounts in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide strategic financial advice and support to clients, helping them to achieve their business objectives.
  • Conduct thorough financial analysis and offer insights to improve clients’ financial performance and growth.
  • Ensure timely management and accurate completion of all accounting tasks, including bookkeeping, payroll, VAT returns, and other statutory requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the main point of contact for all their accounting needs.
  • Assist clients with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to enhance their business operations.
  • Stay updated with the latest accounting standards, tax laws, and industry trends to provide informed advice.
  • Mentor and supervise junior staff, in a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Contribute to business development efforts by identifying opportunities for new services and expanding the client base.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Qualified ACA or ACCA with a proven track record in a similar role.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting, preferably within a practice environment.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards.

We are looking for an experienced book-keeper and accounts assistant. The ideal candidate will have been employed within the finance and accounting sector for a minimum of 1 year and be studying or have completed AAT. The ideal candidate will have Xero, Sage and/or Quickbooks experience and have excellent communication, presentation & time management skills. They can work both independently and as a supportive team member. Payroll training can be provided. They will be excited by their own professional success and learning, the success of our clients and of our business.
