Marina O’Brien

Marina O'Brien for Harland Accountants in Falmouth, St Austell, Helston, and Newquay

Marina is one of our cloud accounting experts and a true all-rounder within the Harland team. With nearly 30 years’ experience across both practice and industry, she brings a hands-on approach and thrives on the variety her role offers. From preparing annual accounts and reviewing bookkeeping and VAT returns, to supporting junior team members and assisting clients, no two days are ever the same – just how she likes it.

A proud Cornish local, Marina is known for her supportive nature and love of teamwork. She believes deeply in the power of collaboration, echoing one of her favourite quotes by Helen Keller, “Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.”

Outside work, Marina enjoys beach walks, photography, gym sessions, car meets, and day adventures across Cornwall. She’s a self-confessed car enthusiast, and dreams of one day travelling and volunteering to support young people from social care backgrounds and local charities.

Clients warm quickly to Marina’s down-to-earth, friendly style, and she’s especially happy when working with business owners who are as passionate about what they do as she is.
