Client Manager // ACCOUNTANT

SOPHIE CLINTON

Sophie joined Harland in 2013 straight from college where she studied A-Level Accounting. She went on to study her AAT, of which she is now qualified in and is currently studying to obtain her charted qualifications.

Sophie has excellent attention to detail, particularly when it comes to book-keeping. She is passionate about helping businesses become more efficient through the use of cloud technology, like Xero, and has trained many business owners to use this powerful software in their day-to-day life.

“An accomplishment of mine is taking a lead role in migrating a large amount of our clients to Making Tax Digital. Paving the future for how people work by providing training, advice and support, and sometimes taking care of the complete migration process.”

In her spare time, Sophie loves to keep fit in unusual ways such aerial pole and hoop dancing, and setting herself challenges like ‘RED’ (Ride Every Day). During the summer of 2020, Sophie completed a gruelling 24 hour cycling challenge for her #harlandgivesback project and raised over £300 for the British Heart Foundation, a charity who have recently supported her Nan.

“My Nan has received precious support from this charity over the last 10+ years, so I felt I would like to give back to them.”
