Client Manager // Accountant
Will Orchard

Will describes himself as an ‘accidental accountant’. Originally planning to become a history teacher, he discovered a passion for numbers while working at Halifax Bank in Camborne and studying for his AAT Level 2 in Bookkeeping through evening classes. His analytical mindset and attention to detail, honed through both his history degree and master’s, made the transition into accountancy a natural fit.
He began his accounting career in 2019 as an Accounts Assistant at a Penzance firm before joining Harland, where he brings a thoughtful and meticulous approach to supporting clients. Will particularly enjoys problem-solving and identifying discrepancies, taking pride in delivering accurate, reliable work that helps businesses feel confident in their finances.
Outside of work, Will enjoys exploring Cornwall’s countryside and coastline with his family and their Labrador, Talek. Deeply connected to Cornish heritage, he was made a Bard of Gorsedh Kernow in 2022, taking the Bardic name Hwilor Drollys (Seeker of Tales) for his contribution to promoting Cornish identity. He’s also a proud playing member of the Helston Town Band, which leads the world-famous Furry Dance on Flora Day.
